This paper proposes a proximal Difference-of-convex algorithm with extrapolation ($PDCA_e$)  based on Dinkelbach's approach for the optimal correction of  two types of piecewise linear systems, classical obstacle problems and equilibrium problems, and linear inequalities. Using  Dinkelbach's theorem  leads  to getting  the roots of two single-variable functions. Considering the non-convex and level-bounded properties of the obtained problems, we use a proximal Difference-of-convex algorithm programming to solve them. The experimental results on several randomly generated test problems show that the $PDCA_e$-generalized Newton method  outperforms other methods for both feasible and infeasible cases.

Background and Objectives: To achieve significant throughput, interference alignment (IA) is an encouraging technique for wireless interference networks. In this study, we design an aligned beamformer based on the interference leakage minimization (ILM) method to reduce the interference power for a multiple-input multiple-output interference channel (MIMO-IC). Methods: To deal with the non-convexity of ILM problem, we used a non-convex programming method (i. e., Difference of convex [DC]). In this way, the interference leakage function is reformulated to a DC function including Difference of two convex terms. Then, an additive function is defined that includes the DC objective function and a penalty function. Results: We propose a novel DC-based IA algorithm that uses solutions of an upper bound of the additive function in each iteration; as the initial state for the next iteration. Through an iterative manner and for the large values of the penalty factor, the solutions of upper bound function converge to the solutions of the original DC objective function (i. e., interference leakage function). Conclusion: In contrast to the frequent IA methods, the proposed DC-based IA algorithm updates transmit-and receive-beamformers in each iteration jointly (not alternately). Simulation results indicate that the proposed method outperforms some competitive IA algorithms by providing more throughputs and less interference leakage.

کاربرد مفهوم معادل شبکه برای نمایش سیستم خارجی در تحلیل گذراهای سیستم قدرت به خوبی شناخته شده است. اما بهرحال، مورد چالش برانگیز در استفاده از یک معادل، تقریب زده شده با یک تابع گویا، تضمین پسیو بودن مدل مربوطه می باشد. در این رابطه، تکنیکهای ویژه ای برای تامین پسیوبودن مدل معادل از طریق یک روش post processing که تاثیراتش را روی مشخصات مدل اصلی مینیمم می کند، مورد نیاز است. در این مقاله، پسیوبودن ابتدا بوسیله تبیین مساله در ترمهایی از یک مساله اپتیمم سازی convex که حل بهینه تام را تضمین می کند، اعمال می گردد. مساله اپتیمم سازی convex بطور موثری بوسیله روشهای عددی interior-point که اخیرا توسعه داده شده، حل می گردد. این اعمال پسیو بودن نیز تام بوده، بدین معنی که اعمال پسیو بودن در یک ناحیه منجر به تخطی از پسیو بودن در نواحی دیگر نمی گردد.

A double ambiguity has been charged against Rawls’s Difference principle (DP). Is it Maximin, Leximin, or something else? Usually, following A. Sen, scholars identify DP with the so-called Leximin. One argues here that one has to distinguish 1° the Leximin, 2° the Maximin (as rule of justice formally analogous to the maximin rule of decision), represented by the figure in L of the perfectly substitutable goods, and 3° the genuine DP. When the augmentation of inequality benefits the worse off, only Pareto-strong improvements are permitted. Leximin would also permit Pareto-weak improvements too (after the first maximum D), where only the richest improves: from (2, 3) to (2, 5), say. This is forbidden by DP. With two classes, unlike Maximin, DP has no curve of inDifference and is always decisive, as Leximin is. For undecisive Rules of Justice, which admit indifferent curves, I propose to add a lexically secondary rule, to break ties. That move is able to clarify the links and the Differences between on the one hand Maximin alone, with its typical inDifference curves in L, and on the other hand, the DP properly understood and the Leximin, which both have no indifferent curves. With two classes of persons (best off/worse off), DP appears more egalitarian than Leximin, because it's secondary rule is MinIn (Minimization of Inequality). But the intuition behind the distinction is that it cannot possible “fair” that only the best off improves in a productive social cooperation.

IN THIS PAPER, WE INVESTIGATE THE RELATION BETWEEN NONINCREASING CONCAVE, HARMONICALLY CONCAVE AND (A, M) -convex FUNCTIONS. THE AUTHOR INTRODUCED CONDITIONS THAT UNDER THEM, IT HAS SHOWN THE CLOSE TO SET OF M-convex FUNCTIONS, (A, M) -convex AND HARMONICALLY (A, M) -convex FUNCTIONS WITH RESPECT TO SOME ALGEBRAIC ACTIONS AS ADDITION AND SUBTRACTION ON THEIR DOMAIN. ALSO, WE ESTABLISH THAT SOME OF MENTIONED FUNCTIONS SET IS CLOSED UNDER THE COMBINATION ACTION. IN FINALLY, WE OBTAIN SOME RESULTS FOR (A, M) -convex, (B, M) -convex AND (AB, M)-convexN FUNCTIONS.

IN THIS PAPER, WE FIRST INVESTIGATE THE OPTIMIZATION OF convex FUNCTIONS BY USING LAGRANGE MULTIPLIERS AND SADDLE POINTS.NEXT, WE PRESENT AN ALGORITHM FOR FINDING THE GLOBAL MAXIMIZERS OF THE CONSTRAINED NON-POSITIVE VALUED ICR (INCREASING AND CO-RADIANT) FUNCTIONS OVER THE UNIT SIMPLEX BY USING THE GLOBAL MAXI-MIZERS OF INCREASING AND POSITIVELY HOMOGENEOUS (IPH) FUNCTIONS.ALSO, WE GIVE SOME NUMERICAL EXPERIMENTS. FINALLY, NON-POSITIVE VALUED AFFINE ICR FUNCTIONS ARE DEFINED IN THE FRAMEWORK OF ABSTRACT convexITY. THE BASIC PROPERTIES OF THIS CLASS OF FUNCTIONS SUCH AS SUPPORT SET AND SUB DIFFERENTIAL ARE PRESENTED. AS AN APPLICATION, WE GIVE OPTIMALITY CONDITIONS FOR THE GLOBAL MINIMUM OF THE Difference OF TWO STRICTLY NON-POSITIVE VALUED AFFINE ICR FUNCTIONS.
